Sono state annunciate, da poco, le nomination degli “MTV Movie & TV Awards 2017”. Quest’anno, come già evidente dal titolo, la kermesse si è aperta, per la prima volta nella sua storia, anche al mondo della televisione e le soprese sono davvero tante. A presentare lo show, in programma il 7 maggio dallo Shrine Auditorium di Los Angeles (in Italia, in onda su MTV, canale 133 di Sky), ci sarà il comico Adam Devine, visto pochi mesi fa al cinema nella commedia “Mike e Dave: un matrimonio da sballo”, al fianco di Zac Efron. Quest’anno, a guidare le nomination c’è il terrificante horror “Scappa – Get Out”, con 6 nomination, tra cui Movie of the Year, Best Villain e Best Fight Against the System, ma a seguire ci sono “La bella e la bestia”, il live-action Disney che sta sbancando il botteghino mondiale e la serie tv “Stranger Things", con Winona Ryder, entrambi con 4 nomination.

Le nuove categorie degli MTV Movie & TV Awards 2017

In quest’edizione, MTV ha preferito eliminare la divisione tra film, televisione e serie in streaming e, per la prima volta, le categorie Best Actor e Best Actress sono state sostituite con Best Actor in a Movie e Best Actor in a Show, senza fare alcuna distinzione di genere. Best Fight è diventata Best Fight Against the System, per sottolineare l’attivismo intorno a questioni di Giustizia sociale. Ci saranno anche le nuove categorie Best American Story, che premia lo show o il film che mostra l’America più aperta e diversificata; Tearjerker (strappalacrime); Best Host, che premia il personaggio che sa parlare meglio ai giovani d’oggi, infine Best Reality Competition e Next Generation.
